Boris FX has licensed Primatte, the chroma keying technology for green and blue-screen compositing, from its developer Photron.

Under the licensing agreement, all Boris FX products will benefit from the technology that is being released for Avid, Apple, Adobe and OFX.

At the same time, Boris FX has announced that its Sapphire, Continuum and Mocha products will all support RLM (Reprise License Manager) floating licence services.

This will allow administrators to share all Boris FX licences and background render capabilities across a facility.

In related news, the plug-in packages Sapphire, Continuum and Mocha Pro are to be made available as one licence under the title Boris FX Suite.

New versions of Sapphire, Continuum (pictured) and Mocha will be shown at NAB in April.
