BC11 is to be led by Endemol France’s recently appointed director of programming Matthieu Grelier, who now also takes on the role of chief exec at the music and events firm.

The label aims to extend the reach of brands such as Star Academy, which is produced by Endemol Shine France, by producing live tours and supporting artist development. It will also create and develop original IP across the music and live events space.

BC11’s first project is the Star Academy 2026 tour, which will be produced in partnership with Sony Music France through Arachnée Productions.

Two previous tours for the show have previously sold out, gathering nearly one million spectators across more than 130 performances in France, Belgium, and Switzerland.

Grelier said the new unit would help to “explore new opportunities to connect with audiences and expand our reach beyond our IP.”

He added: “Our expansion into live music and events with BC11 reflects Endemol France’s strategy in continuing to grow the value of our current brands while creating new ones. Expanding into these new areas is a natural evolution, building on Endemol France’s proven expertise.”

Banijay Entertainment has been expanding its interests in live events over the recent years, most notably launching its Banijay Live arm and acquiring Milan-based Balich Wonder Studio in 2023.

Endemol France’s slate includes Lego Masters, Drag Race, LOL: Last One Laughing, and the recently announced travel format, The Best Holiday Destination for M6.
