Wild Bear Entertainment lines up shows for Blue Ant Media brand

Blue Ant Media has commissioned a spin-off to its 2024 doc Shark Boss alongside a fourth series renewal for Wildlife ER.
The series will premiere on the Canadian giant’s premium natural history linear and streaming brand Love Nature.
One-hour doc Shark Boss: Whale Hunter interrogates the scientific research that, as great white sharks grow, they transition through different sizes of prey. Host Dr Riley Elliott aims to uncover a previously unrecognised life stage of the animal where it breaks free from coastal hunting strategies to take on the largest animals on earth, whales.
Wildlife ER returns to the passionate team of vets, vet nurses and volunteers at the Currumbin Wildlife Hospital on Australia’s Gold Coast and is a celebration of those on the front lines of conservation and the remarkable resilience of the animals they care for. It charts everything from piloting a vaccine programme for koalas with chlamydia to injured marine birds.

Both series hail from Australian outfit WildBear Entertainment and were commissioned by Alison Barrat, senior vice-president, head of content, global channels and streaming.
Blue Ant Rights will look after pre-sales and licensing outside of commissioning territories.
The orders were announced at the World Congress of Science & Factual Producers in Rio de Janeiro this week.
Barrat said: “These new series show Blue Ant’s commitment to delivering a broad range of natural history, which reflects our global commissioning strategy of investing in premium factual content that resonates with audiences around the world.”
