Former Endemol and Univision exec Adrian Santucho to oversee reality and gameshows
NBCUniversal’s Spanish-language network Telemundo has hired a former Univision and Endemol Shine exec to lead its unscripted output.
Adrian Santucho becomes senior vice president of unscripted at Telemundo with a remit that covers development and production of reality series, music specials and gameshows.

He was most recently chief exec and chief creative officer at US production outfit 360-Powow, having previously had a spell at Univision where he worked on unscripted hits including La Banda and Pequeños Gigantes US.
Before that, Santucho worked for Endemol in Argentina and the US, and more recently was chief exec for Fremantle’s US Hispanic division, as well as its operations in Lat Am.
He reports into Telemundo content chief Javier Pons, who also oversees Telemundo Studios.
Pons said: “A well-respected veteran in Spanish-language media, he has successfully managed large-scale international production companies providing content for broadcasters, cable channels and streaming platforms across the entire region and the US.
“We welcome him to Telemundo and look forward to working with him to continue building on the success and strength of our unscripted content slate.”
Santucho added: “Telemundo has built an incredible legacy of live, culturally relevant programming, and I look forward to collaborating with the team to continue evolving the unscripted slate across linear and streaming platforms.”
The appointment comes a day after NBCU parent Comcast formally confirmed the split of its cable operations into a new standalone entity called Versant Media.
Telemundo, NBC, Bravo and Peacock are among assets remaining under the NBCU umbrella.
