The Overlap’s flagship show will film 12 episodes from New York

The Overlap’s Stick To Football will film a special series of episodes for the World Cup this summer.
Host and Overlap co-founder Gary Neville revealed to Broadcast Sport that the show will film 12 episodes from New York this summer, which will be available through The Overlap YouTube channel.
The show had a similar series during the last men’s Euros, with its shows being broadcast on ITV.
Stick To Football will join fellow popular YouTube football show The Rest Is Football in North America, with Goalhanger to produce daily programmes for Netflix, also from New York.
Neville told Broadcast Sport of the decision to go to the US city, “We need to be on the ground to create the best content. I think that people can tell when you’re not there and it just doesn’t work as well.”
This news comes as The Overlap has acquired YouTube channels The United Stand and That’s Football as part of its strategy to create a football media network. Broadcast Sport spoke to Neville about that deal and his future plans for the company, which you can read here.
