Roku UK has added a Football Zone to enable viewers to find where the watch FIFA World Cup 2026 matches.

The UK broadcast rights for the World Cup are held by the BBC, ITV and STV, and Roku’s Football Zone brings all the live matches together in one centralised hub on Roku devices. It shows where matches are available across supported apps, along with match highlights, and related content, including football-related films, series, and documentaries.

Roku has also added a dynamic scoreboard covering all matches, alongside a leaderboard tracking the tournament’s top goal scorers.

The Football Zone will be available on all existing and new Roku players, Roku TV models and Roku Smart Projectors in the UK ahead of the tournament.

Viewers can access it directly from the Roku Home Screen menu, as well as through featured placements on the Home Screen and within the “What to Watch” section.

“With England and Scotland competing, and fans across the UK backing teams from around the world, the tournament brings people together like few other moments,” said Richard Halton, country manager Roku UK. “Roku’s new Football Zone makes it easier to find the games, follow the action, and enjoy every moment with ease.”

Roku has also announced the launch of Roku TV Smart Projectors in the UK, providing immersive, big-screen entertainment.

Initially launching with partners Aurzen and Sharp, the Roku TV Smart Projectors combine advanced projection technology with access to streaming content and services, including VOD, live TV, and free entertainment content.

“Projectors have long promised a cinematic experience, but often they’ve lacked the simplicity and intelligence consumers expect,” said Richard Halton, country manager, Roku UK. “With Roku TV Smart Projectors, we’re bringing the seamless streaming experience Roku users know and love to an exciting new form factor — making big-screen entertainment more accessible than ever.”

The Aurzen Roku TV Smart Projector will be available from June on Amazon, and the Sharp Roku TV Smart Projector will be available from June at Asda, and from July at Tesco. Prices have yet to be announed.
