BVE 2016: Supplier of specialist camera systems Camera Corps has invested £1.2m on 40 new specialist cameras, lenses, and remote camera heads ahead of the Olympic Games in Rio later this year.

The investment includes Hitachi DK-H100 cameras, Toshiba IK-HD5H mini cams, and the latest Antelope Pico mini slow motion systems.

Camera Corps said it would be the first company to offer the Pico product as a rental offering in the UK.

The Antelope Pico mini SSM system, a variety of 4K cameras, and Litepanels’ latest Astra LED panel will be on show at BVE along with the company’s in-house kit.

“We deploy a range of solutions to support many of the world’s highest profile sporting events and most watched reality television projects,” said Camera Corps commercial manager Barry Parker.

“Our clients demand and deserve the best that production technology has to offer, and Camera Corps continues to remain a step ahead, offering a vast array of fully updated products.

“As we assess the needs of our broadcast clients and ready ourselves for our major commitments in the short term, principally for this summer in Rio de Janiero, we know we must also refresh our asset base to meet and exceed all of our customers’ requirements longer term, particularly as we move towards higher resolution content capture.”
