Nestle's Munch Bunch gets a relaunch this month courtesy of The Character Shop with an ad featuring a mix of live action and CGI. Bob Cosford (formerly of Red Pepper) directed the spot using 3DS Max's CharacterStudio with RealFlow to create a river of yoghurt. Cosford also created a Munch Bunch 'world'. Produced by Mark Vale, the ad features a boy transported into the cartoon world after opening his fridge. When he does, CGI yoghurt and fruit comes out of a Munch Bunch pot and swirls around him. He then transforms into a cartoon character of himself and slips down a slide of yoghurt landing in a 'cowak' (an inflatable cow dinghy). The Character Shop is an independently run animation production company, previously part of BBC MediaArc.
