Charter Broadcast has spent around£250,000 on a Grass Valley Kalypso Vision Switcher in a deal that was signed during last week's Production Show. Chief executive David Carr revealed that he had "three projects coming up that we needed it for and, after having a look around the show, the Thomson product was ideal". The Kalypso video production centre features up to 80 inputs and 48 outputs, and uses technology which allows six channels of effects plus external DVE support, using an open networked architecture.
