Equipment rental company Charter Broadcast has announced that it is to spend£3.4m on new equipment this year. With major events coming up, including the Olympics, and a need to widen and update its dry-hire stock, the company will continue to invest in cameras, videotape recorders, microphones and the like. The company spent£2m last year on a range of kit including 10 Sony BVP 950 cameras, Canon HD J86 and J72 lenses, a Grass Valley Kalypso mixer and six EVS XT disk recorders.
