NAB 2015: Cooke has announced that it is working on an anamorphic zoom lens.

Cooke said that like the rest of the company’s Anamorphic/i Prime set, it will be a true front anamorphic lens with 2x squeeze.

Cooke Optics chairman and owner Les Zellan said: “In the storied tradition of Cooke 5:1 and 10:1 zooms, this is the first in a series of front anamorphic zoom lenses that will complement Cooke’s set of Anamorphic/i primes lenses.”

Zellan declined to provide further details about the specification or price of the lens but said it would ship by the end of the year.
