A title sequence, created by Airside, for a BBC adaptation.

Brief: To create titles for the adaptation of Alexander McCall Smith's The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency books.

How it was done: The animation background was created by handpainting pieces of wood and the colour palette was derived from African textiles. Illustrated title cards portraying key scenes were used to give plot indications, and the titles were created using Illustrator, Flash, After Effects and Final
Cut Pro.
