Creative Skillset’s work in film programme has made £160,000 available for organisations to provide subsidised training in the areas of VFX, craft and technical.

Creative Skillset head of film Dan Simmons said: “The VFX industry in particular is going through a period of change, and support is needed to ensure that existing companies and students aspiring to enter the industry have the skills and resources to succeed.”

Some £100,000 has been made available for craft and technical professional development funding and £40,000 for VFX company development funding. Another £20,000 in travel bursaries is available to support VFX learning in Europe.
