IP transport technology firm Dejero has joined the Alliance for IP Media Solutions (Aims).

Aims was created to encourage the adoption of open standards and interoperability for the move from SDI to IP. “Dejero has always advocated for, and is a firm believer in, the adoption of open standards,” said Dejero chief executive Brian Cram. “We believe in interoperability and open APIs to help accelerate the transition to IP and cloud technologies.” Aims endorses an IP transition plan that includes support for SMPTE 2022-6, AES67 and VSF recommendations TR-03 and TR-04. Other supporters include EVS, AJA and Grass Valley.
