The Euro Media Group (EMG) has acquired Kent-based RF service supplier Broadcast RF.

Broadcast RF (BRF) provides RF kit and staff for sports, news and light entertainment events.

Its credits include the FIFA World Cup, the Six Nations Rugby tournament, the Ryder Cup and the Open Golf Championships as well as major international news and entertainment coverage.

EMG described the deal as “a unique opportunity for the Group to address the UK RF market as well as increasing EMG’s worldwide visibility”.

EMG is a France-based broadcast facilities group with operations in the Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium and Switzerland. Its UK companies also include OB firms CTV and Aerial Camera Systems (ACS).

Through its subsidiaries EurolinX and Euro Media France RF, EMG already offers long range RF provision for large international events, including the Monaco Grand Prix, the Tour de France and the Olympic Games.

BRF was founded in 1998 by Arthur Dyson.

He added: “This acquisition allows BRF to broaden the scope of both its UK and international operations whilst continuing to enhance the provision of RF equipment and services to our customers.”
