Evolutions has bucked the gloomy economic outlook by pulling in£1m worth of new business.

Studio Lambert's new Ultimate Gap Adventure, an eight-part Channel 4 series that follows inexperienced backpackers, and Shine's Britain's Biggest Loser for ITV1, which is based on the US dieting show, will both have full post-production completed at Evolutions.

Other competitive pitch wins include BBC2's Leopard Films-produced Cash in the Celebrity Attic, plus Brit Cops and Send in the Dogs from Steadfast.

Evolutions managing director Simon Kanjee said: “The market is extremely competitive at the moment and winning these contracts is testament to the efficiencies that Evolutions has and the quality of our service.”

Meanwhile, the company has appointed Victoria Finlay as business development manager. She was previously group sales manager at Teddington Studios.
