Blue 2.0 has appointed Ian Dodd as managing director of the Soho post facility.

Dodd was one of the founders of The Farm, where he worked for 17 years.

He has also held senior roles at Molinare and The Edit Works.

Parvinder Bhatia, co-founder and managing director of Blue 2.0’s parent firm Azure World Media, previously held the role of Blue 2.0 managing director.

He said Dodd had joined as Blue 2.0 and sister firm Azure VFX, which launched at the end of last year, looked to expand their presence in the post and VFX sectors.

Bhatia said: “Ian’s personality and wealth of experience, combined with his deep knowledge of the UK post production market, will bring great value to Blue 2.0 business and to our clients.”

Dodd, along with David Klafkowski, was appointed joint MD of The Farm in December 2012. Dodd left The Farm in August last year.

He added: “The ongoing high quality of work and the ambitious vision Blue 2.0 has for the future, makes leading and developing this company an amazing opportunity. I look forward to contributing to the group’s success.”

Bhatia fronted a consortium of investors that acquired Prime Focus’ UK post business in March, subsequently renaming it Blue 2.0.
