London-based Framestore has installed a 360TB Elements One SAN/NAS server and shared storage system for use across its post-production and VFX workflows.

Supplied by XTFX, the 24-bay edition of the system is currently working with the facility’s Avid editing suites. Framestore’s engineering team will connect the various VFX suites that are involved in its DPX workflows via 40 Gigabit ethernet in the near future. The technology is said to “support virtually all protocols, operating systems and non-linear editing applications, allowing for an easy and flexible set-up”.
