Former Deltatre commercial director Jim Irving has joined the board of Forbidden Technologies, the company responsible for cloud editing software Forscene.

Irving’s appointment as non-executive director is part of a wider restructure of the company’s leadership team, Forbidden said.

Last month, director of marketing Aziz Musa replaced company founder Stephen Streater as chief executive.

Streater has taken on the role of chairman following the retirement of Vic Steel.

While at Deltatre from 2008 to 2015, Irving was responsible for all Forbidden’s commercial activity in the UK, South Africa, and the Asia-Pacific region, as well as for all of the company’s marketing and communication activity.

Before joining Deltatre, Irving’s roles included executive producer of the BBC’s Match of the Day and head of digital production projects at BBC Future Media & Technology.

Irving recently founded Fanview Consultancy LLP, a sports content and technology business

“There’s no doubt that Jim’s experience and contacts within the sports industry will be invaluable to our growth within this key sector,” said Musa.

“His commercial acumen and entrepreneurial spirit are a perfect fit for our new leadership team, and we’re thrilled that he’s accepted the position on our board.”
