ITFC has signed a deal with Renown Films to restore and archive some of the UK production and distribution company’s vintage black and white films.

The BFI, where many of the prints are stored, has been providing ITFC with prints for the likes of The Glass Mountain and Out of the Fog so they can be upgraded to HD master tape and distributed as SD DVD.

ITFC’s team reviews the prints for grading before laying the film to HD tape, while simultaneously restoring it.

ITFC’s Snell Archangel Ph.C-HD allows ITFC to eliminate film scratches, blemishes, unsteadiness and poor joints in real-time.

Each film takes about two days to fully restore.
