Media management services facility JCA is launching a file-based quality control (QC) department based around Tektronix Cerify.

Both frame-by-frame manual and automated QC will be offered for films and TV including live action and animation.

The company hopes the digital QC department will help production houses to save time and cut costs as well ascomply with broadcast standards when delivering digital assets.

JCA managing director Simon Kay, said:  “We have seen an increased demand for this certification and we are pleased to be able to offer this service to independent production companies, some of whom have recently been able to trial the benefits of this service and avoid delays of tape deliveries.”

JCA provides media management services to the digital, TV and film industries and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the TVP Group.
