Satellite and broadband transmission and play-out service provider Kingston Inmedia has secured the first customer for its Customer Controlled Playout service. Mobile Crazy TV, a new channel launching on Sky Digital next month, will use Kingston's Participation TV package, co-located satellite uplink and office facilities. Mobile Crazy TV will aim to encourage teenagers to move away from internet chat rooms and use their televisions to interact. Kingston launched the Customer Controlled Playout solution - which allows channel owners direct control of scheduling and ingest, and lowers entry costs for transmission - at IBC last month.
