Marshall has launched a compact 2.2 megapixel HD-SDI camera for news, sport, reality TV and hidden camera filming.

The CV342 captures 1920x1080p (60, 59.94, 50, 30, 25fps), 1920x1080i (60, 59.94, 50fps) and 1280x720p (60, 59.94, 50, 30, 25fps) resolutions.

Marshall described the CV342 as an ideal HD camera for demanding video applications because its new rugged body is smaller than its predecessor, the CV340.

The camera has a 1/3” CMOS sensor with CS mount and DC auto-Iris functionality.

“Customers are using our compact HD cameras for broadcast point of view shots, sportscasts, live music events, auto and horse racing and newscasts.

“It only makes sense to improve the video quality and functionality of the widely used CV340 into a smaller, more compact rugged body,” said product marketing engineer Tod Musgrave.

Distributor Cache Media will demonstrate the camera at BSC Expo on 30 and 31 January.
