ITV’s former head of technology North, John O’Shaughnessy, has joined MediaCityUK as head of technology operations.

O’Shaughnessy, who worked for ITV North for the past 25 years, said he is “delighted to be part of the team that will develop MediaCityUK from its inception”.

Owned and operated by Peel Media and SIS Live, the studios include seven high definition television studios, two audio studios and a technical block featuring with sound and vision control rooms and post facilities.

Paul Clennell, chief technology officer for Peel Media, said: “We’re thrilled that John O’Shaugnessy is joining us as our studios officially open for business. This is a key appointment for MediaCityUK and John’s vast experience will be a great asset to our team”.
