Software developer and plug-in specialist The Foundry has made the first sale of its Furnace software on Discreet, thanks to a deal with The Mill. The facility had been beta-testing the product and has now got four floating licences. Technical director Roy Trosh said that Furnace is a 'unique product, with no direct competition in the market place to date'. Dave Smith, an Inferno op at The Mill, added: 'It will become necessary to have Furnace plug-ins as part of the extensive toolbox.'
