The tool is used by firms such as Red Bee Media to manage content across platforms, red and green button interactivity and EPG triggering.
Mirada chief executive Jose Luis Vazquez said adding the payper- use option could make the software more attractive for small channels without the ability to invest up front.
“It’s where the market is moving,” Vazquez said.
“While it’s attractive to have £100,000 up front, it’s just not how the world works any more. Customers might not be able to afford the upfront fees.”
