Arqiva has completed its exit from the outside broadcast sector, having sold its OB trucks to NEP Visions and Cloudbass.

NEP Visions has acquired two 24 camera, 5.1 capable HD trucks from Arqiva, while Cloudbass has taken three vehicles.

The NEP trucks are fitted with Sony MVS8000 switchers, Calrec Alpha audio consoles, NVision Routers, RTS communications and Sony cameras.

Cloudbass has taken a standard definition, 20 camera, double expanding articulated truck as well as one 12 camera and one eight camera HD vehicles.

Cloudbass managing director Steve Knee said: “It was a clear expansion opportunity for us as a business that perfectly complements our existing operations.”

NEP Visions commercial and technical projects director Brian Clark said the trucks will operate from the company’s London base.

“They are being modified ready to be put to use in as soon as possible, to support our existing contracts and offer flexibility on other potential contracts for the future.”
