The industry-wide Joint Task Force on Networked Media (JT-NM) has started work on the next phase of its drive to improve interoperability between IT-based media technologies and products.

The work in phase three will look to further develop open standards and specifi cations, and construct an IT roadmap for the industry. The JT-NM is backed by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), the Advanced Media Workfl ow Association (AMWA), the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE) and the Video Services Forum (VSF).
