Rushes has appointed Andy Nicholas as head of the firm’s CG department.

Before joining Rushes, Nicholas was technical director and CG lead at The Mill, working on commercials, feature films and computer games development.

His specialisms include XSI, Houdini, Maya, RealFlow and compositing software Nuke.

“Andy comes to us with a strong technical background and in-depth knowledge of current CG packages” said Rushes managing director Joce Capper.

“Importantly he has an excellent visual eye. His experience in undertaking a wide range of tasks from on-set supervision to the technical aspects of creating complex and amazing CG simulations, make Andy a brilliant asset to the CG team.”

Nicholas will work with another new recruit at Rushes, senior executive producer Norra Abdul Rahim. Her credits include the MTV rebrand and Prince of Persia.
