Telstra-owned Ooyala is to offer live server-side ad insertion (SSAI) to broadcasters.


A part of Ooyala Live and its ad-serving platform Ooyala Pulse, the SSAI technology provides smooth transitions between ads and content during live feeds to create a ‘TV-like’ advertising experience. Publishers and advertisers can also merge programming and personalised advertisements together into a single video stream, the company said. Personalisation of ads can be done for different users and devices on both live and catchup services.
