Further industry heavyweights line up for next month’s event
Culture secretary Lisa Nandy and actor David Tennant have joined the line-up for next month’s Royal Television Society (RTS) Cambridge Convention.
Further speakers have also been revealed for the separate inaugural Wildscreen Industry Summit 2025, which will take place in Bristol in October (see below).
With this year’s RTS theme Where Do We Grow From Here?, Nandy will address the future of TV amid changing technologies and viewing habits, while Tennant will discuss how to protect the UK’s creative culture in conversation with former BBC chief content officer Charlotte Moore.
All3Media and Banijay Entertainment bosses Jane Turton and Marco Bassetti will jointly discuss the current state and future of the global market, and the role UK and European production powerhouses play around the world.
Other key speakers joining the BBC-sponsored event, taking place on 17-18 September at King’s College, include the manager of England Football’s Women’s Team Sarina Wiegman.

Wildscreen Industry Summit 2025
Senior execs from the likes of the BBC and Nat Geo have joined the line-up of speakers for the inaugural Wildscreen Industry Summit 2025, a spin-off from the biannual Wildscreen Festival.
Launching from 20-22 October in Bristol and online, the wildlife and natural history-focused event will feature the BBC’s head of specialist factual commissioning Jack Bootle and Nat Geo’s senior vice-president of development and production Janet Han Vissering.
Also on the roster – joining previously-announced speakers such as Nat Geo’s executive vice-president of content Tom McDonald – are broadcaster and biologist Liz Bonnin and chief executive of Plimsoll Productions, Grant Mansfield, who is responsible for shows including A Real Bug’s Life (Disney+).
Other new speakers include:
- Eva zu Beck, YouTuber and filmmaker
- Abdel Mandili, filmmaker
- Hans Cosmas Ngoteya, Tanzanian conservationist and filmmaker
- Keith Ochwat, documentary filmmaker and distribution strategist
Panels will cover topics including the diversification of funding, the role of the PSBs in supporting natural history and the future of the workforce.
