De Lane Lea, Coach House Studios and The Look have formed a strategic alliance to offer their specialist services to long-form producers as part of a post-production package deal.

The agreement will see Coach House supply offline/online editing suites on location and within rented rooms at De Lane Lea in Soho. The Look will provide finishing, grading and vfx from its new Rathbone Street facility, and De Lane Lea will deliver dubbing mixing, sound design and ADR.

De Lane Lea Sound and Vision head of production Michael Hamilton said: “Some companies that offer all-in post deals end up being jack of all trades and master of none. The beauty of this arrangement is that we’ll all maintain our independence and our specialism, but also be able to offer excellent service within the package deals that producers are keen on.”

The new set-up gives Shepherd’s Bush-based Coach House Studios a Soho presence for the first time. Managing director John Walbeoffe said: “We hope this solution will add greater convenience and time-saving to our list of benefits.”

Thomas Urbye, the managing director of The Look added: “Our three companies are at the top of our respective fields, no other large facility can offer the care, service and final product we can.  That’s why collaborations such as this are so important for the industry.”

The companies will start operating together from this week. A drama for a terrestrial broadcaster is being lined up as the first job.
