A sister facility to hire shop Procam Television has opened, catering for stereo 3D TV, features, commercials and event visuals.

Pro3D, based in Battersea Business Park, is headed by stereographic consultant and former Jigsaw head of broadcast sales Andy Bellamy. It will offer acquisition advice as well as a full crewing service, post-production and delivery for 3D content.

Post equipment includes Cineform Neo 3D, Iridas SpeedGrade, Final Cut Pro and Smoke, as well as digital cinema mastering and packaging. It will also offer Red and SI2K cameras, HDCAM SR and motorised rigs, which it has co-developed with a South African company to provide a more even exposure to light than existing mirror rigs.

“We intend to demystify the stereo 3D process and bring it to everyone,” said Bellamy. “The cornerstone of our guidelines will be Sky’s 3D requirements.”

Pro3D’s first project is likely to be an historical feature, the trailer for which has been shot by Procam.
