Brief Provide physical effects for a series in which kids team up with a special effects expert to perform hidden-camera pranks on the public.

How it was done Artem designer and supervisor Simon Tayler worked alongside prosthetics artist Shaune Harrison, animatronics expert Rob Mayor and stunt co-ordinator Abbi Collins on the series.

The pranks took place in a garden centre, an art gallery and at a car show. Artem’s work included the creation of breakaway beehives, exploding cakes and a collapsible shed.

Tayler also blew up a Fiat 500. For the car stunt, a replica of the car was specially rigged so that it exploded when a show car attempted to jump over it, giving the owner the impression that their vehicle had been destroyed.
