Red Bee Media has signed a multi-year deal with Samsung to provide rich metadata services for the manufacturer’s new range of internet-connected TVs.

The deal, which extends across 13 European countries including the UK, will see Red Bee Media provide rich EPG content, including localised programme descriptions and images.

Red Bee Media chief executive Patrick Tillieux said: “We believe that effective and personalised content discovery is critical to the future TV viewing experience and we’re very proud to be appointed by Samsung as the provider of rich metadata that will help to power the discovery solutions available on their new range of Smart TVs.”
