Canon’s C300 is doing the rounds of UK dealers and hire firms over the next week.

Canon followed up the Los Angeles launch of the C300 with a dealer event in Berlin last week and now the camera has made it to the UK.

CVP is one of firms that will play host to what it describes as “one of the most eagerly anticipated cameras for many years”, with EF and PL mount versions of the camera to try.

The demo day takes place on Thursday 1 December at the company’s premises in Brentford.

The C300 will be the centrepiece of Visual Impact’s open day at the company’s offices in Teddington on Tuesday 6 December.

It is promising a side-by-side shoot out with Sony’s F3 and the Arri Alexa.

Promotion says it has an exclusive for the hire market, with an open day on Wednesday 7 December in south east London.

Along with the C300, Canon’s 5D, 7D, XF305 and XF105 will be on show together with 60 EF lenses.

The C300 will also be on display at Prokit’s digital cinema open day on Thursday 8 December, together with cameras from Sony and Panasonic and accessories from Genus, Shape, Cinekinetic, Petrol, Miller, Manfrotto, Atomos, Sound Devices.

The demo day will run from 10am to 4pm in firm’s showroom in west London.
