Reseller Root6 is to expand the range of external training courses it offers for runners and edit assistants.

Future courses will cover the basics of audio, quality control for television, colourimetery, health & safety in TV environments and TCIP.

Previous courses covered the basics of the video signal and the importance of test and measurement.

The half-day courses are run by engineer Phil Crawley.

Currently head of systems integration, Crawley started his career at the BBC before holding engineering positions at Carlton, Oasis Television and Resolution where he served as technical director.
