Root6 is running a series of get-togethers where engineers can discuss emerging technologies.

‘Tech Breakfasts' will be breakfast meetings for broadcast and postproduction engineers to examine how IT expertise in managing high speed data can benefit the modern facility.

The first is scheduled for March 4. It will look at the issues for those contemplating the move to 10 Gigabit Ethernet Infrastructure.

Further breakfasts will examine clustered storage and asset management.

The Soho-based sessions will consist of a brief introduction followed by a round table discussion.
