NAB 2014: Skype has unveiled the first product to result from its acquisition of game show control firm Cat and Mouse.
Skype TX, which builds on existing Cat and Mouse technology, is a hardware and software system that delivers Skype integration into a studio environment.
It adds full-frame Skype video and audio via SDI, is free of potential distractions such as call notifications and ads and offers automatic aspect ratio conversion.
Unveiled at last week’s NAB, it will be available “in the coming year”.
Skype’s acquisition of Cat and Mouse closed at the end of last year.
