AmberFin has appointed Adrian Smith as vice president of sales for Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA).

Smith, who held the role of vice president of sales for AmberFin’s Asia Pacific region for four years, will replace Paula Bargery who has joined Harris Broadcast.

AmberFin chief executive officer Jeremy Deaner said: “Over recent years we have invested heavily in developing the industry’s most sophisticated file-based workflow toolset and now we intend to bring this to market starting in 2014.

“Adrian is exactly the right person to lead this initiative in the critical EMEA region. He understands our market and has developed an outstanding knowledge and understanding of our industry.”

The company has yet to announce Smith’s replacement.
