Smoke artist Matt Clarke has returned to Framestore after spending two years working for Glassworks in Amsterdam.

Clarke started at Framestore in 2000 as a runner before going on to become a Smoke operator, working on a number of music promos including the Arctic Monkeys’ Flourescent Adolescent.

His most recent work has been VFX jobs for agencies working on campaigns such as Nike, Adidas, EA Games, ESPN, McDonalds and Specsavers.

Framestore managing director Helen Stanley said: “Matt was first introduced to us a decade ago. He became part of the family very quickly so we were sad to see him go overseas. But it’s a ringing endorsement that he’s decided to return - not only do we benefit from his great talent, but it is also particularly gratifying that people like coming back to us.”

Framestore last week announced that Helen Hughes has joined in the role of senior producer.

Her latest job was as executive producer and director of production for LA-based Method Studios.
