Sohonet has seen a rise in the number of top-end 10GB connections it is installing, with wider moves to file-based workflows and international use of its services helping to drive growth.

Chief technical officer Ben Roeder said: “One major US studio is shooting five features in the UK, none of which are on film, and they are moving lots of files between sites.”
