Sony has used NAB to introduce two - thus far unnamed - optical disk camcorders and their associated studio, compact and mobile decks. With a choice of DV or MPEG coding, the ENG-targeted system records the original along with a frame-accurate browse ('proxy') version that can be transferred back to the studio at up to 30 times real time.
