Manufacturer Avid is offering users of competitive video editing systems a discount of up to #500 if they migrate to its Xpress DV software. Customers who provide proof of ownership for any qualified product - including Apple's Final Cut Pro, Pinnacle Liquid and all Media 100 products - will be eligible for what Avid is calling 'The Step Up program', giving them a #350 discount off the list price of Avid Xpress DV base software and #500 off the list price of Avid Xpress DV v3.5 PowerPack, which comes bundled with additional video editing software. The basic version of Avid Xpress DV has a list price of #1,300.
