Two Four will launch a new internet broadcasting platform called Media Freedom at IBC.

The technology has taken two years to develop and will allow anyone to host content for Web TV and deliver it across the web, IPTV or mobile.

A team of 40 design and development specialists created the system which is being used to host EuroParlTV, a four-channel site due to launch later this month that will stream both live and archived programming in more than 20 languages.

The platform will be used by UK satellite channel Horse and Country TV and Bucks New University, which has just launched a student run webTV channel. It is also powering Bollywood channels B4U Music and B4U Movies web offerings. The company is currently working with leading broadcasters in the UK and US on projects using the technology, details of which will be announced later this year.

Managing director of Twofour Digital Paul Tarplee said: “The system is unique in its scope and flexibility - it can be used for huge projects such as EuroParlTV or smaller briefs such as allowing companies to host TV clips on their websites.”

Two Four is a broadcast television, business communications and media technology company.

Twofour Broadcast is known for its factual entertainment and lifestyle programming such as Are You Smarter Than A Ten Year Old? for Sky, The Hotel Inspector for Five, Open Gardens for BBC and The Baron for ITV1.
