Vizrt has appointed the former chief executive of a Swedish customer experience management company as its new chief executive.

Michael Hallen joins from Qmatic Group, where he had worked for seven years. Starting in August, Hallen will be based in Vizrt’s headquarters in Bergen, Norway. He replaces Martin Burkhalter, who has retired after six years as chief executive. Vizrt chief operating officer François Laborie will continue as acting chief executive until August. Chairman of the board Torben Munch said: “Michael is passionate about technology and brings 25 years’ experience from global software business.”
