Leeds-based post-production firm VTR North has gone into administration.

As reported in last week’s Broadcast, the company had been considering restructuring owing to what VTR North managing director Spencer Bain described as the “fallout” from the closure of its Manchester office.

Jason Elliott and Craig Johns of Cowgill Holloway were appointed joint administrators on Wednesday.

It appears as though the assets of VTR North could be bought in a pre-pack administration deal.

Four of the five directors of VTR North, including Spencer Bain, Christopher Birks, Peter Connolly and Robert Noble are listed as directors of CNBB Limited, a company which was set up two weeks ago.

VTR North’s 3,000 sq ft, Flame-equipped Manchester facility closed in December last year.

VTR North and Cowgill Holloway were unavailable for comment.
