Kindle Entertainment is bringing a planned TV revival of Enid Blyton’s children’s book series The Famous Five to MIPJunior, where it will be pitching the idea to broadcasters and distributors to secure funding.
The company has agreed a co-production deal with Hachette UK, which handles Blyton’s estate. While staying true to the spirit of the books, Kindle plans to introduce them to new viewers by making George and her dog Timmy contemporary characters who travel back in time to 1954, where they meet the rest of the original gang.

Animated musical comedy series following the exploits of pals Corey (pictured), Laney, Kin and Kon, who mine the diary of Corey’s sister Trina for the songs they play together as a garage band. To keep the songs coming, Corey’s task is to ensure Trina’s life is an emotional rollercoaster worthy of a juicy diary entry. Cartoon Network US recently became the first country outside Canada to pick up the show.

Saban Brands continues to exploit Paul Frank’s iconic monkey brand with the launch of this new 2D animated series for pre-schoolers.
It follows Julius Jr as he discovers The Box, a playhouse that presents a daily surprise as it makes everyday items come to life, taking Julius and his gang on a series of adventures.
Saban bought the fashion brand in 2010 and for this series has teamed up with Canada’s Brain Power Studios, the company formed by former Decode Entertainment executive Beth Stevenson, whose credits include Waybuloo and Dirtgirlworld.

This ambitious CGI series aims to thrill four to seven year-olds with a worldwide trip in a racing car.
The central character, six-year-old Franco, dreams up stories for his toy cars, which are shown competing for the Continent Cup, a mission that takes them around the globe. Along the way, his team has to battle everything from monsoons in Asia to sandstorms in Africa, and learn about different cultures and customs.
Among the behind-the-scenes talent is producer Sigvaldi Karason (Lazytown) and writer/script consultant Richard Hansom (Bob The Builder). Sales to date include Norway, Finland, the Middle East, Israel and Iceland.
