The 60-minute episode at 9pm, pulled-in an average audience of 7 million (29%), a fall of 200,000 on the opening episode last Sunday. The first instalment of the third series though managed at peak audience of 7.5 million (31%).

The series, starrring Martin Clunes and Julie Graham, was once again part of a virtually rock-solid ITV1 Sunday night line-up. Heartbeatat 8pm enticed 8.9 million (38%) over 60-minutes while Coronation Streetfound 10.6 million (47%).

The weak spot of the commercial broadcaster's line-up though was Hell's Kitchenat 10pm. The 60-minute reality show could only gather up an audience of 3.7 million (20%).

BBC1 once again dusted-off its Steven Spielberg movie Raiders of the Lost Arkat 8.10pm which gained 5.2 million (22%) over almost two hours. Earlier at 6.55pm Antiques Roadshowfound 5.3 million (27%) and the corporation's news update at 7.40pm got 4.8 million (21%).

Five's comedy Joeycontinued to lose ground at 8pm with a lowly 1.3 million (6%), down by 300,000 from the previous week. BBC2's continued extensive coverage of the world snooker championship from 7.30pm drew 2 million (9%) over three hours. Marginally ahead though was Channel 4's repeat of The 100 Greatest Kids' TV Shows. The mammoth three and a half-hour show from 8pm attracted 2.1 million (10%).

C4 wasn't so popular though at 5.25pm with the two hour Britain's Cold War Super Weaponstaking 1.1 million (6%). Five's film Innerspaceat 5.50pm had 900,000 (5%).

BBC2's Bill Oddie Goes Wild - Californiaat 5.50pm charmed 1.8 million (12%) while White Smoke: Election of a Popeat 6.30pm gained 900,000 (5%).

Peaktime shares for Sunday 24 April: ITV1 - 34.2%, BBC1 - 22.3%, BBC2 - 8.2%, C4 - 7.1%, Five - 5.7%, multichannel - 22.5%.
