Brief Create titles for the 6 x 60-minute doc series and reconstructions of ancient cities, temples, amphitheaters and citadels, as they would have appeared to Alexander the Great on his travels through Afghanistan.

How it was done CGI structures were built in Maya before being composited into live-action plates, which were shot in Afghanistan.

The structures were also added to photorealistic CGI landscapes, which were built in Terragen. Alongside the reconstructions, CGI earth maps were created to reveal the extent and terrain of Alexander’s travels.

422 South digital artists Chris Suddaby, Andy Budd, Steve Roberts and Jim Walters created the CGI sequences under the direction of creative director David Corfield, who also designed and produced the opening titles.
